PEEK ・ABOO MUSEUM is a project of the Museum of Puppetry, founded by Lutkovno gledališče Ljubljana. It is a little a travelling exhibition that shows close-ups of some of the extraordinary puppets that are otherwise hidden from visitors in the depots of our Museum of Puppetry. Look through the peephole of a small mobile cube and see a selection of puppet specialities: kings and queens, bakers, innkeepers, managers, gaolers, puppies, mice, dwarfs, postmen, sailors, sloths, children and vagabonds...
Since the contemporary in Slovenia begins far in the past, our museum depots are home to more than 3,000 puppets dating back to 1910, many of them artistic masterpieces, each telling its own story about the enviable history of Slovenian puppetry.
